Open File Definitions Note: The Close button allows you to close files which are currently open. It must be used very carefully as it can close files which are still being used by another application resulting in, among other things, probable loss of data and perhaps a corrupted file. [Text] = Item only exists under given circumstance • File Name = Name ◊ Version = Version number if available ◊ File Type = Finder type ◊ File Creator = Finder creator ◊ RefNum = Reference number assigned by file system ◊ Open Fork = Data/Resource ◊ Data Fork Size = Size in bytes. This fork generally contains data created by the user ◊ Resource Fork Size = This fork contains resources such as code, icons,etc. ◊ Created = Date and time of creation ◊ Modified = Date and time of modification ◊ Path Name = Location of the file
